I can't find the Printfil's trayed icon in the Taskbar to access the menu

The Printfil menu, used to configure it (for example to capture DOS PRN / LPT ports or COM ports), export the DOS print jobs to PDF files etc can be accessed by right-clicking the Printfil icon in the Tray Area (Task Bar), normally located in the bottom right corner, near the Windows clock.

Please note that Windows normally hides the less used icons in the tray area, so, if you don't see the Printfil icon there, most probably you just need to click the little "arrow" near that area to expand it and show the hidden icons (Printfil included).
